Designing for the Layer Line
Every additive process leaves evidence of how an object was made. Rather than hiding that evidence, we tune orientation, wall thickness, and light so the layer line becomes part of the object’s character.
Geometry before settings
A reliable file begins in the model. Chamfers replace fragile overhangs, bridges are kept short, and contact surfaces are designed to release cleanly. Good geometry reduces tuning and makes the result repeatable across machines.
The final test
We finish with a real-world plate test: first layer, bridges, tolerances, and the small details that decide whether a file feels dependable.
